The Nigeria Football Federation has taken the wind off the debate over the announcement of a new Head Coach for the Senior Women’s Team, also known as
Super Falcons, by saying the Executive Committee will ratify the appointment this month.
“We don’t understand the hue and cry by some persons who did very little to promote the women’s game and the women National Teams when they were in the
position to do so. As far as the Technical Committee is concerned, we have made recommendations to the Executive Committee and the latter will sit to
deliberate on the recommendations and make a decision this month”, said Barrister Chris Green, who is chairman of the NFF Technical Sub-Committee.
Meanwhile, 31 players who survived the screening exercise for the new U-17 National Women’s Team, also known as Flamingoes, have resumed camping in
Abuja ahead of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifying fixture against Kenya, which first leg takes place in Nairobi on January 21.
