
The duo of Yobo Football Club and Kelly Football Academy have qualified for the quarter-finals of the on-going Lagos State FA Cup competition.
The Yobo FC owned by the Super Eagles’ captain, Joseph Yobo defeated their Awori United counterparts with 6-5 penalty kicks after the regulation time ended 1-1 The match was played at the Agege Stadium. Kelly Football Academy were also in cloud nine as they subdued their arch rivals, Stanley Global Football Club 3-0 at the Onikan Stadium. The Lagos FA Cup defending champions and National League outfits, First Bank Football Club will today (Tuesday) file out against Young Stars FC at the Agege Stadium. Bolowotan FC will battle giant killers, the Apapa Golden Stars; Fame FC will also keep a date with AS Rascine FC on Wednesday at the Legacy Pitch, National Stadium, Surulere. Union Bank Football Club of Lagos will on Thursday slug it out with God’s Own Revelation while Splendid FC takes on C.O.D. United Football Club in the Round of 16 of the competition.
